What if I have a problem with a wild animal on my property?
If the wild animal is healthy leave it alone. If you have a question about a wild animal call the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (217) 784-4730. If the wild animal is a nuisance in the attic or crawlspace, there are private businesses you may contact to assist you in animal removal. In Champaign County, the following businesses provide animal removal services:
  • ADC Animal Damage Control (217) 377-0969
  • Anything Wild Animal Control (217) 355-2997
  • Wesley Schell (217) 377-3532

Please note that state law requires a permit for trapping animals. Trapping wildlife without a permit is illegal.
