The Village of Rantoul, IL will receive Bids for the Community Service Center Sidewalk Improvements project until 1:00 PM. CST on the 26th day of June, 2024, at Rantoul Village Hall at 333 South Turner, Rantoul, IL 61866 and will be publicly opened and read at the time at the said office. 

Description of Work:
The project consists of the removal and replacement of PCC sidewalk and ADA ramps at the Community Service Center located at 520 E. Wabash Ave. 

The Project Documents may be obtained from Hutchison Engineering’s website at www.hutchisoneng.com under the Bidding tab.  Project documents will only be distributed electronically.  The bidder will be responsible for making hard copies of the Project Documents.   All questions shall be directed to Marcy Leach at and received no later than Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 12:00 PM.  All questions shall be answered by issuing addenda no later than Friday, June 21, 2024 at 4:00 PM. 

All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond as a requirement for this project. The right is reserved to accept any bid or any part or parts thereof or to reject any and all bids. Vendors will be required to comply with all applicable EEO laws and regulations. The submission of the bid by the offeror in response to this Advertisement for Bids constitutes an acknowledgement of and an agreement by the Offeror that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act, and the Illinois Preference Act (30 ILCS 570).  Resolution No. 90-74 requires compliance with the Human Relations Act and all pertinent federal and state rules and regulations. The contract award shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid properly addresses and complies with the invitation and meets with the requirements set forth in the specifications. 

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Village of Rantoul, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. 

The Village of Rantoul reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. 

Bids may be held by the Village of Rantoul for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
