The Mayor, as the Village President, ensures that all the laws and Ordinances of the Village are properly enforced and observed. In doing so, he must oversee all Village Departments, and recommend to the Village Board any measures he sees pertinent to the well-being, security, or improvement of life in the Village of Rantoul. It is the responsibility of the Mayor to preside over Village Board meetings. Legal documents pertaining to Village matters must be authorized by the Mayor, as directed by the Village Board of Trustees.
