License Requirement
Per the Village of Rantoul Code of Ordinances Chapter 28, Article III, "Waste Hauler License" in order to provide services within the Village, Waste Hauler businesses must be permitted with the IL Environmental Protection Agency and licensed with the Village. Application Information
Applications for the licensing of Waste Hauler businesses are available to those who affirm that they can comply with the Illinois Statutes and regulations and with the Village of Rantoul Municipal Code. The application form must be completed in its entirety, and all documentation must be provided prior to receiving the license.
The required documents for licensing your business with the Village are located below. Be certain to read each document in its entirety, and when you are ready to register your business, return these to Executive Assistant Tana Ward, located in Village Hall. Allow three weeks for processing.
License Fee
Each Waste Hauler business shall be charged an annual fee of $250.00, along with $50.00 per each vehicle, payable upon the submission of the signed application. Licenses expire annually on April 30.
Insurance Requirements
Waste Haulers are required to meet or exceed the guidelines with the Illinois Commerce Commission, including the requirement of sufficient insurance. Sufficient insurance coverage is required for the entire term of the license.
