Police Pension Board

Board Details

The Police Pension Board manages the Police Pension Fund as prescribed under the Illinois Pension Code 40 ILCS 5 / Article 3. The Board oversees the investment and disbursement of police pension funds, and reviews both short-term and long-term disability requests and widow’s benefits. The Board makes recommendations to the Mayor and Village Board for the annual Tax Levy to fund the pensions.

Board Meetings

The Police Pension Board meetings are held quarterly at the Village of Rantoul Municipal Building in the Conference Room located at 333 S. Tanner Street, Rantoul, IL 61866. Special meetings may be scheduled as required.

Board Meeting Agendas are made available 48 hours prior to the meetings. Following approval, the Meeting Minutes are published online.

Board Members

Three members are elected from active and retired Village Police Officers, and the Mayor appoints two additional members, and each member serves a two year term.
